Justin Bieber gave Coachella a massive pop moment, then left Goldenvoice with a curfew bill. The Justin Bieber Coachella set reportedly ran two minutes past Indio’s 1 a.m. cutoff. That small overrun triggered a $20,000 fine for the festival promoter. It also added to a second-weekend penalty total tied to another late-running set.

Justin Bieber Coachella Set Runs Past Curfew

The City of Indio confirmed that Goldenvoice faced fines after weekend two of Coachella. KESQ reported that Anyma went nine minutes over Friday’s 1 a.m. cutoff. That overrun led to a $24,000 fine. Bieber’s Saturday headline set then went two minutes over and added another $20,000.

Together, the fines reached $44,000 for the weekend. The first five minutes past curfew can cost $20,000 under Indio’s fine structure. Extra charges can build from there. For a festival this huge, that sounds like a wrist slap, but it still made headlines.

Billie Eilish Moment Stole The Night

Bieber’s set also delivered one of the weekend’s loudest fan moments. He brought Billie Eilish onstage during “One Less Lonely Girl.” NME reported that Bieber serenaded Eilish during the nostalgic performance. The moment quickly moved across fan accounts, music pages, and entertainment feeds.

People reported that Eilish later shared throwback photos from her longtime Belieber era. She also posted that she could not stop crying after the performance. That gave the moment a full-circle charge fans could instantly understand. It was not just a cameo. It was a pop-history callback with a built-in emotional payoff.

Curfew Fine Meets Big Business

The fine likely will not define Bieber’s Coachella run. IBTimes UK cited reporting that his Skylrk merchandise brought in about $5.04 million during the first weekend. That number made the $20,000 curfew penalty look tiny by comparison. Still, it showed how tightly Coachella must balance spectacle and city rules.

Coachella’s official site already lists the 2027 festival dates for April 9-11 and April 16-18. That means the desert machine is already moving toward its next cycle. Yet Bieber’s weekend two set gave this year one last messy little footnote. The show went slightly long, the fans got their moment, and the paperwork caught up later.
