Lisa Hochstein’s divorce drama has crossed into criminal court. The “Real Housewives of Miami” star turned herself in after a felony charge tied to alleged electronic surveillance. Prosecutors say the case involves communications connected to her ex-husband, plastic surgeon Lenny Hochstein. Now, the Lisa Hochstein case has added a serious legal twist to one of Bravo’s messiest splits.

Lisa Hochstein Surrenders in Miami

NBC Miami reported that Hochstein and her ex-boyfriend, Jody Glidden, were charged with interception of wire, oral or electronic communications. Court records filed in Miami-Dade link the charge to alleged conduct in March 2023. TMZ reported that Hochstein’s surrender was voluntary and arranged through her attorney. She was later released as the case moved forward.

Her attorney, Jayne Weintraub, has denied any criminal wrongdoing. Us Weekly reported that Weintraub said Hochstein had “nothing to hide” and was cooperating. The defense has framed the matter as part of a bitter divorce dispute. Prosecutors, however, have moved ahead with the felony case.

Wiretap Allegation Raises Stakes

People reported that an arrest warrant alleged Hochstein and Glidden hid a recording device in Lenny Hochstein’s car. The warrant also claimed the device captured private conversations involving his family, finances and business. Both Hochstein and Glidden have pleaded not guilty. Neither has been convicted of any crime.

The allegations add a new layer to a divorce already known for public conflict. Lisa and Lenny finalized their divorce in 2024 after years of legal fighting. Their split played out through court filings, social media and “Real Housewives” storylines. Now, the legal fallout has moved beyond family court.

Jody Glidden Also Charged

Glidden was arrested April 12 on the same felony charge, according to People. He was released on a $5,000 bond, pleaded not guilty and requested a jury trial. His legal team has also argued that the case should not belong in criminal court. That defense mirrors Hochstein’s position.

The charge carries major reputational risk for Hochstein. Reality TV thrives on drama, but felony surveillance allegations bring a different kind of spotlight. Fans may debate motives and divorce tension. A court will focus on evidence.

For now, Hochstein maintains her innocence. Glidden has also denied wrongdoing. Lenny Hochstein has not controlled the pace of the criminal case, even though the allegations involve his communications. Until Miami-Dade prosecutors present more in court, this remains a charged legal fight with reality-TV fame attached.
