Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may have finalized their divorce, but their fight over Château Miraval is still dragging on, and Pitt is now accusing his ex-wife of keeping the whole mess alive far longer than necessary.

The former couple’s battle over their $164 million French winery and estate has turned into one of Hollywood’s longest-running legal feuds, and Pitt is now pushing back hard after Jolie reportedly asked for the trial to be delayed until late 2027. That would push things back by another nine months, and Pitt’s side is making it clear he is not happy about it.

Brad Pitt Says Angelina Jolie’s Delay Is Making the Fight Worse

According to Pitt’s side, the delay is not just frustrating. It is actively damaging the case.

“One key witness, Ms. Jolie’s former business manager, Terry Bird, has unfortunately passed away,” Pitt’s representative said. “Plaintiffs understand that another potential key witness, Ms. Jolie’s transactional lawyer, Laurent Schummer, is likely too ill to testify. This is yet another reason that a nine-month delay of the trial date would prejudice the Plaintiffs.”

That is a serious claim, and Pitt’s camp is using it to argue that this case needs to move faster, not slower. Pitt has already accused Jolie of violating their agreement when she sold her stake in Miraval to the Stoli Group, and he now says the drawn-out fight has left him “deprived of the quiet enjoyment of his home in France.”

That phrase stands out because it shifts the dispute beyond money and business. Pitt is framing this as something that is disrupting his personal peace at the property as well.

The Château Miraval War Is Still Far From Over

Jolie’s side, however, is not buying that argument. She has reportedly argued that there is “no evidence anywhere” showing Pitt’s ability to live at the château “has been impacted by this case one iota.”

Pitt’s side answered that too. “The wine business associated with the French château has also suffered, as the business has been stymied by the dispute between the château’s indirect shareholders and by Stoli’s repeated efforts to interfere with, and gain control of, the château,” his representatives said.

They closed with a message that sounds simple enough, even if this fight is anything but. “This dispute should be resolved as soon as possible so that all parties, including Mr. Pitt, can move on with their lives.”

That is the public line. The reality looks much uglier. Even after the divorce was finalized, Pitt and Jolie are still locked in a bitter clash over the French estate they once shared, and neither side seems ready to let go just yet.
