The latest uproar picked up after celebrity blogger Perez Hilton questioned whether North should have been at Coachella at all without a parent physically with her. In a video, Hilton said he would not allow his own 13-year-old son to attend the festival in that way and asked followers what they thought, while urging people to keep the discussion respectful.
He claimed paparazzi photos and videos showed North at the event with friends and a bodyguard, but without Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, or another close family member nearby. That claim quickly spread, and so did the criticism.
Still, not everyone agreed with the outrage. Some social media users pushed back and said Kardashian was in fact at Coachella, along with her boyfriend Lewis Hamilton and North’s aunt Kylie Jenner. That only made the debate messier, with one side focusing on supervision and the other arguing that the full context was being ignored.
