Coachella 2026 style is settling into a clear mood. This year’s formula mixes desert boho, Western touches, and a more controlled, camera-ready kind of casual. The look is still playful, still festival-coded, but it feels less chaotic than the old peak-Coachella years. Think skirts, tiny shorts, sheer layers, crochet, and lived-in denim, all pulled together with boots, hats, and low-slung accessories.

Texture is doing a lot of the work. Suede jackets come out after sunset. Fringe and tassels add movement. Crochet shows up with metallic thread, beads, and shimmer that catches the light. Sheer fabrics are still everywhere too, often layered over bodysuits or worked into dresses that show shape without looking too heavy. The color story stays balanced, with tan, cream, and brown leading the way, while pops of orange, pink, and patchwork denim keep things from looking flat.

Skirts, Tiny Shorts, And Sheer Layers Lead The Way

This year’s festival uniform leans heavily on short hemlines and easy layering. Skirts and tiny shorts are everywhere, especially in stretch fabrics, crisp denim, and soft leather. Baggy Bermuda shorts and jorts also have a place, usually styled with T-shirts, fitted tops, or cropped pieces.

Accessories help lock in the mood. Cowboy hats, bandanas, oversized belts worn low on the hips, and layered jewelry all push the Western revival forward. Footwear stays practical, with flat leather boots doing the heavy lifting. They make sense for the desert and still pull the whole look together.

Crochet remains one of the strongest themes, but it has been updated. Instead of reading purely beachy, it now feels more styled and more intentional. Dresses, statement tops, and embellished pieces are giving the trend a fresh spin for 2026.

Even The Biggest Names Are Keeping It More Low-Key

Coachella used to be the place where celebrities went all in on festival dressing. Around 2016, stars like Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, and Hailey Bieber helped define that full-throttle desert image. Now the energy is different. Their outfits still matter, but the styling feels more relaxed and less try-hard.

One trend stood out across weekend one. Cropped tops were everywhere.

At Kendall Jenner’s 818 Outpost event on Friday, April 10, she kept it simple in a white cropped cotton-blend tank from Wardrobe.NYC, tied to a Hailey Bieber collaboration. She paired it with white denim shorts, a black belt, a blue Adidas cap, slim sunglasses, and a delicate necklace. The beauty look stayed light and minimal, which suited the setting.

Kylie Jenner took a slightly softer route that same day. She wore a white ruffled Ann Demeulemeester top with delicate ties, ruffled edges, and bell sleeves, styled with a silver belly chain and light-wash jeans.

That may be the bigger shift this year. Coachella fashion is still curated, but the biggest names are no longer dressing like they need to win the weekend. They are keeping it simpler, sharper, and easier to wear.
