Kim Kardashian got roasted online after showing up to her family’s laid-back at-home Easter celebration in a $9,500 vintage Roberto Cavalli gown, a look many fans thought was wildly overdressed for the setting.

The dress, first worn by Cindy Crawford on the runway in 2002, hugged Kim’s frame, featured silver embellishments, and trailed behind her with a small train. For extra drama, she threw on a dark pink fuzzy shawl.

Kim’s Easter Dress Had the Internet Doing a Double Take

The Kardashian-Jenner family gathered at Kylie Jenner’s Palm Springs mansion for the holiday, where they posed for photos, ate snacks, and spent time with the kids. Kim’s gown stood out immediately, especially because everyone else looked like they had gotten a very different memo.

That mismatch became the whole story online.

Over on Reddit, one person wrote, “They all look like they’re going to different parties with different dress codes,” while another piled on with, “Their tacky outfits are giving party city.”

Someone else was even harsher, writing, “Hahaha they look like they went to a yard sale and picked the tackiest outfits they could find.” Another added, “But this is how they actually dress and they take themselves so seriously…”

Kim got a lot of the attention because of the sheer formality of her look. “It’s Kim in the floor length gown on one end and Khloe in pajamas on the other that’s sending me,” one user joked. Another wrote, “Me playing dress up in my grandma’s closet when I was 8.”

One commenter summed it up this way: “I mean Kim looks like she’s wearing a wedding dress but I’ve definitely seen her in a lot worse.”

Meanwhile, the Rest of the Family Kept It Much More Casual

Kris Jenner leaned into vintage, wearing a 1991 Chanel skirt with a fitted black top, while Khloe Kardashian kept things much more relaxed in a white tank and matching polka-dot bottoms. She added white jeans left unbuttoned at the top and a floral shirt that showed off her midriff.

The whole group, including Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner, posed together for family photos, which only made the clashing outfits more obvious.

Still, the day itself looked low-key and family-focused. Kim shared glimpses of Kylie’s sprawling backyard, complete with palm trees and mountain views, plus a spread of treats and snacks. The kids had their own Easter table decked out with bunny decorations and crafts.

In one sweeter moment, Kim posted a selfie while helping daughter Chicago, 8, with artwork, adding a bunny apron over the pricey Cavalli dress to protect it. That detail may be the funniest part of all. Underneath the glamour, it was still Easter crafts with the kids. The internet, though, was never going to let the gown slide.
