Podcast host Joe Rogan is questioning U.S. involvement in the conflict with Iran, saying the situation feels at odds with the message Donald Trump campaigned on.
During a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the host reflected on the growing military confrontation and said many supporters expected a different approach to foreign policy.
“It just seems so insane, considering what he campaigned on,” Rogan said. “This is why many people feel betrayed, right?”
Rogan noted that Trump had repeatedly promised to avoid new wars during his presidential campaign.
“Trump ran on ‘No more wars’ and ‘End these stupid, senseless conflicts,’ yet here we are,” Rogan said.
The comments come as U.S. military action linked to the Iran conflict continues to draw debate among some conservative voters and lawmakers.
Representative Tim Burchett of Tennessee also warned that the conflict could expand into a prolonged war.
“I’d advise staying vigilant,” Burchett told The Hill when asked about concerns from Trump supporters. “Be concerned. Stay alert. Hold us accountable. Keep us honest on this issue.”
Public opinion surveys suggest many Americans expect the conflict to last months or even longer.
Rogan had previously endorsed Trump during the 2024 election campaign, marking a shift from his earlier stance of political neutrality.
In the months leading up to the election, Trump appeared on Rogan’s podcast alongside several prominent supporters, including Vice President JD Vance and technology billionaire Elon Musk.
Those interviews drew widespread attention and helped turn Rogan’s show into one of the most influential political platforms of the campaign season.
Now, Rogan’s latest comments highlight growing debate among some supporters about the direction of U.S. foreign policy.
