Priscilla Presley shared an emotional moment with fans after revisiting a historic Las Vegas venue closely associated with Elvis Presley’s career.
The 80-year-old posted a video to Instagram while standing on the stage of the former International Hotel in Las Vegas, the location where Elvis performed hundreds of shows during his famous residency in the city.
In the video, Priscilla reflected on the memories tied to the venue and described the experience of returning there decades later as deeply moving.
“It’s a bittersweet feeling being on the stage here,” she said in the clip, noting that Elvis performed there many years ago.
The International Hotel, which later became the Las Vegas Hilton and is now known as the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, hosted Elvis’ legendary residency from 1969 through 1976. During that period he performed more than 600 shows, helping define the era of major Las Vegas concert residencies.
Priscilla and Elvis were married during the early years of his Las Vegas performances. The couple wed in 1967 and remained together through the first part of his Vegas run before divorcing in 1973.
Standing in the same place where Elvis once performed, Priscilla said the visit brought back vivid memories of watching his shows.
She described the experience as somewhat eerie, explaining that being on the stage allowed her to recall the energy Elvis brought to his performances and the atmosphere of the packed audiences who attended his concerts.
Looking out toward the seating area, she reflected on how the venue would fill with fans while Elvis performed.
Priscilla also shared a personal memory from one of those nights. She recalled standing near the edge of the stage during a performance when Elvis leaned down and kissed her from the stage, a moment she said still gives her chills when she thinks about it.
The visit also served as an announcement of an upcoming appearance. Priscilla told fans she plans to return to the venue on May 2 for a live event titled Priscilla Presley: In Her Own Words.
During the event, she plans to share stories about her life with Elvis and reflect on the years they spent together during one of the most famous chapters of his career.
