Britney Spears is receiving support from family members following her recent arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence in California.
The singer was taken into custody last Wednesday, according to reports, prompting concern among those close to her. Sources say family members are now focusing on helping the pop star navigate the situation and prioritize her well-being.
An individual familiar with the situation said Spears’ sons are expected to spend time with her in the coming days as part of that effort.
“Her sons are planning to spend quality time with her,” the source said, adding that relatives are working together to help ensure Spears has the support she needs moving forward.
Spears shares two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, with her former husband Kevin Federline. Federline currently lives in Hawaii with their younger son, while Jayden has reportedly been reconnecting with Spears after a period of distance in their relationship.
Following the arrest, Spears’ manager, Cade Hudson, addressed the incident in a public statement, calling it “an unfortunate and entirely inexcusable situation.”
Hudson said Spears intends to comply with legal requirements and take steps toward improving her circumstances.
“Britney is committed to taking the necessary steps to comply with the law,” he said. “Our primary focus now is ensuring she receives the help and support she needs during this challenging time.”
Spears and Federline were married from 2004 to 2007. In recent years, the singer has remained largely out of the spotlight while focusing on her personal life.
Those close to Spears say her family hopes the current situation will allow her to reconnect with loved ones and focus on stability in the months ahead.
