Queen Latifah is putting an end to rumors about her health after a false report circulating online claimed she had died.

The actress and rapper addressed the rumor directly in a video shared on Instagram on March 5, assuring fans that she is doing well.

“Good morning. It’s me, Latifah,” the 55-year-old said in the clip. “I’m 100 percent A-OK.”

She ended the short message by blowing a kiss to the camera and reminding viewers not to trust everything they see online.

“You can’t believe everything you read or see on the internet,” she said. “I’m fine. Peace.”

Latifah, whose real name is Dana Elaine Owens, has previously spoken openly about focusing on her health and lifestyle in recent years.

The Grammy-winning artist said she made several changes to improve her well-being, including adjusting her diet and becoming more physically active.

“I had specific goals—feeling healthier, getting in shape, losing weight, becoming stronger—and I knew I had to make changes to achieve them,” she said in an earlier interview with The Healthy.

She also explained that moving to Los Angeles in her early twenties helped reshape some of her habits.

“Growing up, my family had certain habits that I had to unlearn—like our heavy use of salt,” she said. “When I moved to L.A. to work on Living Single, my eating habits started to change.”

Latifah has also spoken about how her family’s history of cardiovascular disease and obesity motivated her to take her health more seriously.

“It’s been tough watching these issues affect my family,” she said. “Losing loved ones to obesity-related complications is heartbreaking.”

Alongside diet and exercise, she said simple routines like walking and taking baths help her stay balanced.

“Walking clears my mind and improves my mood,” she said. “And baths help me reset after long, physically demanding days.”
