Khloé Kardashian is opening up about the possibility of expanding her family, revealing that she still has frozen embryos and is considering whether she wants another child.
The reality star shared the personal update during the March 4 episode of her podcast Khloé in Wonder Land, where she spoke candidly about motherhood and her thoughts on having a third child.
Kardashian currently shares two children with her former partner Tristan Thompson—daughter True, 7, and son Tatum, 3.
During the conversation, she revealed that she still has embryos preserved from previous fertility treatments, leaving the door open for the possibility of another baby.
“I do have a few more embryos in the freezer,” Kardashian said. “I’ve been thinking, ‘Do I have the energy for another baby?’”
Despite her uncertainty, Kardashian admitted that part of her motivation stems from wanting her daughter to have a sister.
“I believe girls need sisters,” she explained. “Maybe it’s because of how I grew up. I think Tatum will be okay, but a girl needs her sister.”
The entrepreneur and television personality said she believes she has one female embryo remaining, which has made her wonder whether she should pursue the idea of another child on her own rather than waiting for a future relationship.
“I think I have one girl embryo left, and I’ve been wondering if I should just do this on my own,” she said.
Still, Kardashian acknowledged that she is unsure whether she is emotionally ready to take that step.
“But I’m not sure if I’m emotionally prepared for it,” she admitted. “It’s just a thought. I don’t think it’ll happen because I lack the energy.”
Kardashian also reflected on her complicated experience surrounding the birth of her son Tatum. The child was born via surrogate in 2022, shortly after news broke that Thompson had fathered another child with a different woman.
Because of that experience, Kardashian said she would likely choose surrogacy again if she decides to have another baby, but under very different circumstances.
“I’ve been thinking about using a surrogate again,” she said. “I believe I’d have a very different experience this time because I’d be involved throughout the surrogate’s journey.”
At the moment, Kardashian says she hasn’t made a final decision about whether she will expand her family again.
“When you implant an embryo, there’s no guarantee it will take,” she explained. “So I thought I could try, and if it doesn’t work, then maybe it’s not meant to be—and that’s okay.”
For now, the mother of two says she’s still weighing the emotional and practical realities of welcoming another child.
“I’m just not sure I have the emotional capacity for it right now,” she added.
