Ringo Starr is proving that age is just a number.

At 85, the legendary Beatles drummer has announced a brand-new studio album, showing that his passion for music remains as strong as ever. Starr revealed that his upcoming record, “Long Long Road,” will be released worldwide on April 24, marking another milestone in his decades-long career.

The project continues Starr’s collaboration with acclaimed producer T Bone Burnett, following the success of their previous work together.

The album features 10 tracks, including the lead single “It’s Been Too Long.” The song includes guest appearances by acclaimed musicians Sarah Jarosz and Molly Tuttle, giving fans a taste of the musical direction of the new record.

But the collaborations don’t stop there.

The album also includes contributions from several major artists, including Sheryl Crow, Billy Strings, and St. Vincent, making it one of Starr’s most star-studded projects in recent years.

The recordings took place in Nashville and Los Angeles, two cities closely associated with the evolving Americana and country influences that have shaped Starr’s recent work.

The announcement was shared with fans through an Instagram post confirming that the album is available for pre-order on vinyl, CD, and digital formats. The post also encouraged listeners to stream the newly released single ahead of the full album launch.

This marks Starr’s second consecutive album with Burnett, following 2025’s “Look Up,” which topped the UK Country and Americana charts.

Reflecting on their creative partnership, Starr said he feels lucky to be working with Burnett during this stage of his life and career.

“I’m fortunate to have T Bone in my life right now, collaborating with me on these records,” Starr said.

According to the rock icon, the new album came together naturally after finishing their previous project.

After completing the earlier record, Starr said the next step simply felt right.

“Sometimes you make the right choices,” he explained. “You can go left or right at any moment, and partnering with T Bone was definitely one of those right moves.”

The title “Long Long Road” also carries personal meaning for Starr.

He described it as a reflection of the incredible journey he has experienced throughout his life in music—from Beatlemania to his continued success as a solo artist.

Even after more than six decades in the industry, Ringo Starr is still moving forward on that road.

And at 85, he’s clearly not ready to stop.
