Harvey Weinstein is shaking up his defense team—and the names attached are turning heads.

The disgraced former Hollywood producer has reportedly hired attorneys linked to Sean “Diddy” Combs for his upcoming third New York rape trial. According to court filings, lawyers Jacob Kaplan, Marc Agnifilo, and Teny Geragos will now represent Weinstein, replacing longtime attorney Arthur Aidala in courtroom proceedings.

The move signals a strategic reset. Weinstein has declined to plead guilty and is opting for what his spokesperson described as a “recalibrated outlook” after two previous trials. The latest case centers on allegations that he raped actress and hairstylist Jessica Mann in a Manhattan hotel in 2013—claims he has repeatedly denied.

During a January court appearance, Weinstein insisted he has “never assaulted anyone” and said the years behind bars have taken a toll on him. His third trial was initially slated to begin March 3 but has since been postponed indefinitely. He is still expected to appear in court March 4 for a status conference.

The legal shuffle comes after a split verdict in last June’s proceedings, where jurors convicted Weinstein on one count related to forced oral sex, acquitted him on another, and deadlocked on the rape charge involving Mann. With a high-profile legal team now stepping in, all eyes are on what could be another explosive courtroom showdown.
