Jacob Elordi is opening up about filming intimate scenes alongside Margot Robbie in the latest adaptation of Wuthering Heights.
In an interview with The Sun, the 28-year-old actor discussed bringing Heathcliff to life opposite Robbie’s Catherine Earnshaw in the romantic drama, which premiered on February 13, 2026. Elordi acknowledged the strong on-screen chemistry between the pair but emphasized that filming intimate moments is far more technical than audiences might expect.
“It’s super-technical,” Elordi explained. Referring to a close scene where his character leans over Robbie’s, he noted that even moments that appear spontaneous are carefully choreographed. “Every move is planned because with the lighting, you’ve got a limited space to work with.”
According to Elordi, the process is similar to staging a fight or dance sequence. Blocking, camera angles, and lighting must align precisely to achieve the desired effect on screen. “Everything has to fit perfectly in the frame and work with the lighting,” he said.
