Presley Gerber, the 26-year-old son of supermodel Cindy Crawford, has raised concern among fans after sharing candid details about his mental health struggles on social media.
In a recent black-and-white Instagram video, Gerber addressed misconceptions about his condition and said he needed to set the record straight. Filming himself inside a sauna, he explained that honesty is the best policy and reiterated that he has battled depression since childhood.
Gerber went on to discuss his current medication regimen, revealing that he takes 1 mg of Buprenorphine twice a day for pain management and opioid addiction treatment, and that he also uses benzodiazepines on an as-needed basis.

Gerber went on to describe experiencing intense night terrors and severe panic attacks, episodes that at times require him to take additional medication to cope. He admitted that he worries about becoming dependent on these prescriptions, confessing that he fears something bad might happen if he stops taking them.

Gerber also spoke about the difficulties he has faced throughout his treatment, revealing that he has met with 15 psychiatrists so far. He explained that he wants a clear, structured prescription plan but feels frustrated that each doctor only provides medications to take as needed.
Although he mentioned experiencing various forms of loss that have contributed to his current mental state, he did not offer details. It is known, however, that the family’s beloved twenty-year-old dog Widget died in May, an event that drew an outpouring of sympathy from fans. Gerber added that he is currently distancing himself from loved ones in an effort to build what he believes will be a more supportive environment.
He also shared that he has been sober since his birthday on July 2. Through his ongoing Mental Health Monday series, he hopes that his openness will bring comfort to others navigating similar struggles.

Gerber previously drew widespread attention in 2020 for his MISUNDERSTOOD face tattoo, a decision that sparked controversy at the time but has since been reversed as he later had the tattoo removed.
He began getting tattoos at the age of fifteen, though he has largely stepped away from the practice in recent years.
