On Monday, Page Six reported that Amanda Seyfried spoke candidly in a recent Us Weekly interview about the pressures of having two films—Housemaid and Anne Lee’s Testimony—premiere simultaneously while raising her two children.

“Honestly, it’s really hard right now,” Seyfried admitted. “This is the first time I’ve worked while taking care of both kids, and I’ve never had two movies come out at the same time. I feel like I’m going a little crazy.”

Regarding Paul Feig’s upcoming thriller Housemaid, set for release on December 19, Seyfried advised audiences, “I recommend not reading the original book. If you do, it will ruin the twists.” About Mona Fastvold’s Anne Lee’s Testimony, she noted, “It’s a completely different story from Housemaid.”

Seyfried married fellow actor Thomas Sadoski in 2017 after co-starring in projects such as Life in Pieces and The Newsroom. The couple has a son and a daughter.

In a previous interview with Hello!, Seyfried shared a glimpse into her family life: “We enjoy spending time with family in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. It’s our happy place. We love the quiet, the beach, and just relaxing together. You don’t need anything extravagant—just good food and time to breathe.”

Born in 1985, Seyfried made her acting debut in 1999 on the soap opera As the World Turns. She has since appeared in films including Mean Girls, Mamma Mia!, Chloe, In Time, Les Misérables, and The Art of More, solidifying her status as a globally recognized actress.
