Yoon Eun Hye, a former member of the K pop group Baby V.O.X, recently opened up about her childhood hardships and the hidden struggles she endured even at the peak of her career.

In an episode of the MBC program Where Is My Home that aired on the 27th, Yoon spoke candidly about the instability she faced growing up. She recalled moving countless times, living in cramped spaces, and experiencing periods without a private room or even a proper bathroom.

She described growing up in a home where water barely flowed, and the meter hardly moved, admitting that these difficult memories remain a lasting trauma.

Yoon Eun Hye revealed that her life with Baby VOX was far from the glamorous image seen on screen, explaining that the group was consistently in the red financially and frequently targeted by fraudulent concert schemes, forcing every member to become a breadwinner at home.

She also addressed the long-standing tale about receiving 1,000 pyeong of Mongolian land, clarifying that the story was entirely false and noting that foreigners cannot legally own land in Mongolia.

Her comments echo recent remarks from former member Kan Mi Youn, who shared on KBS 2TVs Immortal Songs Singing the Legend Glorious Return Special that during their peak as first generation Hallyu stars, they performed for the President of Mongolia and were gifted a traditional ger and what was said to be 1,000 pyeong of land, only for the documents to become worthless when the arrangement fell through.

Yoon’s longtime manager also recounted the scams and emotional hardships she faced throughout her career. Holding back tears, Yoon said she learned early in life that people who offer constant praise are not always sincere.
