Tatiana Schlossberg, granddaughter of former U.S. President John F. Kennedy, has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. In response, Maria Shriver, wife of Arnold Schwarzenegger and a member of the Kennedy family, has expressed her support.

Page Six reported on November 23 that Maria Shriver shared an essay by Tatiana Schlossberg from The New Yorker on her social media account. In the poignant piece, Tatiana Schlossberg revealed that after giving birth to her second child last year, she was given a prognosis of only one more year to live.

Maria Shriver, daughter of Eunice Kennedy Shriver and Tatiana Schlossberg’s cousin, urged her followers that if they read only one thing today, please make it this extraordinary piece by Tatiana Schlossberg. She’s not only a gifted writer and journalist but also a devoted wife, daughter, mother, and friend. This essay chronicles her journey over the past 18 months.

She added that it’s also a tribute to all those who dedicate themselves to the frontlines of humanity. While it covers various topics, she hopes people will take the time to read it and be profoundly moved by one woman’s story. Maria Shriver also emphasized the importance of appreciating our lives in the present moment.

Tatiana Schlossberg, granddaughter of John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and a respected environmental journalist, recently disclosed her battle with terminal blood cancer. She wrote that following her second pregnancy, doctors noticed alarming blood test results. She couldn’t fathom that it might be pregnancy-related or possibly leukemia. She had been swimming a mile even at nine months pregnant and felt perfectly healthy. She considered herself one of the fittest people she knew.

Despite undergoing a bone marrow transplant and chemotherapy, Tatiana Schlossberg’s condition deteriorated. She expressed gratitude for her support system: Her husband, George Moran, liaised with doctors and did everything possible, even sleeping on the hospital floor. She’s incredibly thankful for her family, including her parents, who have been instrumental in helping raise her two children.
