NewJeans has achieved another milestone in Japan, solidifying their growing international presence.
The Japan Record Association announced on Thursday that NewJeans’ track “Ditto” from their single album OMG has surpassed 300 million cumulative streams as of October 2025, earning them a Triple Platinum certification in the streaming category.

This achievement marks NewJeans as the first K-pop girl group to receive a Triple Platinum certification in streaming. In fact, they’re one of only two K-pop acts overall to reach this impressive milestone.
“Ditto,” released on December 19, 2022, showcases NewJeans’ unique take on Baltimore club dance music. The track is characterized by its dreamy humming, cozy soundscape, and the members’ warm vocals. It propelled the group to international success, landing them spots on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and U.K. Official Singles Top 100 just six months after their debut. In South Korea, “Ditto” dominated the Melon annual chart in 2023, setting multiple records for the group.
The popularity of “Ditto” shows no signs of waning. The song recently clinched the Best K-Pop Song in Japan award at the prestigious Music Awards Japan 2025 in May, underscoring the enduring appeal of NewJeans’ music in the Japanese market.
Beyond “Ditto,” NewJeans’ streaming success extends to other tracks. They’ve earned Double Platinum certifications (over 200 million streams) for “OMG” (August 2024) and “Hype Boy” (August 2025). Additionally, “ETA,” “Super Shy,” and “Attention” have all achieved ‘Platinum’ status (over 100 million streams) in May and August 2024, respectively.
