American actress Tara Reid reported that she was drugged at a Chicago hotel bar after footage surfaced showing her being carried out on a stretcher on the 23rd, with her team confirming that she had consumed a spiked drink.
TMZ released video of bystanders attempting to lift an unconscious Reid into a wheelchair as she appeared disoriented, mumbling and eventually going limp before paramedics transported her through the hotel lobby and to a nearby hospital.
Her spokesperson stated that Reid is certain her drink was tampered with and has filed a police report, adding that she is recovering and requesting privacy. The spokesperson urged bar patrons to stay alert, explaining that Reid had stepped out for a cigarette, returned to find her drink covered with a napkin, removed it, took a sip, and later woke up in the hospital with no memory of the intervening hours.
Reid told TMZ she barely touched her drink before blacking out and only regained awareness eight hours later in the hospital, calling the experience terrifying. Reid is widely known for her roles in American Pie, Sharknado, and The Big Lebowski, as well as her early 2000s reputation as a prominent Hollywood party figure.
