Song Ji Hyo has spoken out regarding recent claims tied to her father’s business activities.
On Friday, Song Ji Hyo’s agency, Nexus E&M, issued a statement through her legal representative, Nam San. The agency said they received an email alleging that Song’s father’s company was in default on its debts. The message also included a mock banner design that read, “Famous celebrity parent, known on TV for the ferry business!”
Nexus E&M condemned the act, stating, “Sending such banner designs goes far beyond a simple inquiry. It can be interpreted as an attempt to publicly display these banners in front of Nexus E&M to damage Song Ji-hyo’s reputation and image, as well as interfere with our company’s normal business operations. This constitutes a punishable offense.”
The agency stressed it will take strong legal measures to protect Song’s career. “We will not tolerate any threats, coercion, or unfair actions that infringe on our artist’s reputation, rights, or disrupt our operations,” the statement said.
Representatives for Song Ji Hyo added, “If illegal actions continue, we will act swiftly and decisively, pursuing all possible legal measures, including criminal complaints and claims for damages. We are committed to taking firm action against any malicious behavior that could harm our artist’s career.”
