Singer Chuu and Oh My Girls Arin will receive strengthened protection from their agency ATRP, which announced on May 19 that it is pursuing legal action against individuals responsible for malicious online posts.

The company reported a rise in harmful content targeting its artists, including sexual harassment, defamation, insults, and the spread of false information, and stated that it will move forward with strict legal measures without leniency or settlements.

ATRP explained that it is continuously monitoring domestic and international online platforms, from social media to video sharing sites, and is working with a specialized law firm to initiate all possible civil and criminal actions against identified offenders.

The agency also warned that efforts to delete evidence or evade responsibility will be fully investigated and handled with maximum severity. While acknowledging that legal procedures may take months or more than a year to complete, ATRP reaffirmed its commitment to protecting its artists rights and interests for as long as necessary.

ATRP released the following full statement addressing the surge in malicious posts targeting Chuu and Arin.

The company said it has recently confirmed a rise in sexual harassment, defamation, insults, malicious slander, and the spread of false information involving its artists, calling these actions clear legal violations.

ATRP stated that it will pursue strong legal action without leniency or settlements and emphasized that it is continuously monitoring domestic and international online communities, social media platforms, and video sharing sites to collect evidence.

In coordination with a specialized law firm, the agency will take all possible civil and criminal measures against malicious posts, comments, and illegal activities, and will strictly investigate and penalize any attempts to delete evidence or evade responsibility.

Fans with relevant evidence are encouraged to submit it to ATRPs reporting email at legalatrp.co.kr for review in ongoing legal proceedings. ATRP noted that although cases may take months to more than a year to conclude, it remains firmly committed to protecting its artists rights.
