According to The Hollywood Reporter on November 11, singer and actress Sabrina Carpenter is set to star in and produce Universal Pictures’ upcoming musical adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s classic novel Alice in Wonderland.
The beloved story has been reimagined several times, most notably as Disney’s 1951 animated film and Tim Burton’s 2010 live-action version starring Johnny Depp, which grossed over 1 billion USD worldwide.
Carpenter, who recently earned six Grammy nominations including one for Album of the Year at the upcoming 68th annual ceremony, continues to expand her artistic range. Beyond music, she has showcased her acting talent in films such as The Hate U Give and Emergency, solidifying her status as one of today’s most versatile young stars.
