From fingertips to gaze, their synchronization is flawless. Each upper-body movement demands precise angles and strength—any deviation becomes instantly visible on camera. The seven members, standing tall like blades, carry forward their debut ethos with their first mini-album, LOUDER THAN EVER.

At our debut, Flip the Coin was our way of presenting our story simply, says Park Minseok. It might seem unusual, but that’s not a flaw—it’s what makes us unique. Like a coin, people have two sides. This mini-album aims to broadcast that message louder and farther than before.
The choice to use all-English lyrics came from confidence built on stage. Hong Minseong shares that the group busked in the U.S. for a month before debut and performed at KCON LA and Japan. Experiencing international reactions firsthand inspired them to present the entire album in English, though they might keep Korean versions for special events.
Two title tracks lead the project with contrasting energy.
Park Minseok explains that Look So Good exudes a calm, static sexiness with a groovy pop vibe—a new temperature for NEWBEAT. In contrast, LOUD puts raw energy and performance at the forefront.
The difference continues in the choreography. Choi Seohyun notes that while their previous choreographies focused on lower-body movements to project energy, this time they’re emphasizing upper-body work. Subtle gestures like head tilts and finger motions require all seven members to keep the same angle, gaze, and intensity. It’s harder but cleaner.
Each member helped define NEWBEAT’s signature move. Hong Minseong reveals that they chose a chest-to-abdomen sweep as their team signature after exploring gestures that matched the lyrics. Choi Seohyun adds that they refined the hand shapes together—it’s something they can proudly say they created themselves.
A switch-up twist adds surprise on stage. Kim Taeyang explains that in Yunhu’s second verse, they rotate members for each broadcast, letting them play with cute or sexy concepts depending on the vibe.
Even the intro was crafted with intent. Park Minseok shares that for Look So Good, he designed the opening frame—costumes, expressions, and gestures—refining the choreographer’s moves to fit his body and researching eye-catching elements like crop tops.
Those individual touches strengthen NEWBEAT’s stage powerhouse image. Kim Riwoo sums it up: he’s grown more comfortable on stage. At first, he stuck to scripted lines, but now he can naturally make eye contact and talk with fans—it feels real.

The key message is confidence. Jeon Yeoyeojeong explains that it’s about the courage to express your true self—personality and appearance. That’s the confidence they’re talking about.
Choi Seohyun adds that Look So Good is about self-affirmation—being cool and gentle, while LOUD expresses strength in a different way.
Park Minseok notes that despite end-of-year scheduling challenges, they want to showcase both songs, though they’ll likely focus more on Look So Good as the main track.
The production process embraced improvisation.
Jeon Yeoyeojeong recalls that the producer encouraged them to follow their instincts, allowing for bolder interpretations.
Choi Seohyun shares that for Natural, she was told to freestyle ad-libs, which allowed her emotions to shine through.
Jo Yunhu adds that they worked closely on English diction and conveying meaning.
Their U.S. experience was work-focused. Park Minseok remembers spending all day in the studio, only snapping a photo at the Universal Studios entrance, and dipping In-N-Out fries in a shake—a memory he won’t forget.
Jo Yunhu adds that they planned to jump in the hotel pool together on the last day but ended up recording until their flight back to Korea.
Off-stage, the members showed different sides. Hong Minseong won silver in the 60m sprint at MBC’s 2023 Idol Star Athletics Championships during Chuseok.
He shares that his dad is a big fan who replays it constantly, while his mom tells him to stop. Since he hasn’t told everyone about his debut, some friends are only now asking why he was there.
The youngest, Kim Riwoo, stands out immediately. He says his youth shows as soon as he speaks—he’s bright, playful, and often makes Seohyun-hyung and others laugh with wordplay and physical comedy.
Asked about their message to fans, NEURO, the members smile.
Jo Yunhu thanks fans for waiting eight months, hoping they’ll notice the new vibe different from their debut.
Hong Minseong says that with Look So Good, they want to show they’re excelling, and with LOUD, they aim to create moments where everyone shouts together.
Park Minseok ends with warmth, reminding fans that as the weather gets colder, they should eat before coming to music shows and not forget padded jackets and heat packs.
