Annie, daughter of the Shinsegae chairman, recently debuted with the co-ed group All Day Project. Standing beside her is Ha Min Ki, third-generation heir of Shin Jeon Tteokbokki, who is set to debut with a new boy group later this year. The rise of chaebol heirs in K-pop continues to draw attention. Following Annie, granddaughter of Shinsegae Group chairwoman Lee Myung Hee and daughter of Chung Yoo Kyung, Ha is now preparing for his own idol debut under Modern Berry Korea.
On Tuesday, the agency announced plans to debut a new boy group in late 2026, officially introducing trainee Ha Min Ki and confirming that he will begin engaging with the public through various platforms. Modern Berry Korea’s roster includes former Teen Top member Bang Min Soo and ex-DIA member Ahn So Mi. Born in 2007, Ha Min Ki is the grandson of Shin Jeon Tteokbokki founder and chairman Ha Sung Ho. The former SM Entertainment trainee stands at 185 cm and has gained attention for his striking visuals. A company spokesperson said that the Shin Jeon Tteokbokki family fully supports his debut and that the boy group is undergoing intensive training for their 2026 launch. With over 800 locations nationwide, Shin Jeon Tteokbokki remains a dominant force in Korea’s food industry. Expressing his excitement, Ha said he is thrilled to begin connecting with fans and hopes to become an artist who moves people through genuine music.
