KATSEYE, the global girl group from HYBE and Geffen Records, has once again broken their own record on Billboard’s main song chart in the U.S. According to the latest Billboard chart released on Tuesday (for the week of October 25), “Gabriela,” a track from their second extended play (EP) BEAUTIFUL CHAOS, surged 13 spots to reach No. 41 on the Hot 100. Additionally, “Gnarly” re-entered the Hot 100 at No. 98, marking an impressive feat for KATSEYE with two songs simultaneously charting.
The group’s expanding popularity shows no signs of slowing down. Despite being released as digital singles four and six months ago respectively, “Gabriela” and “Gnarly” continue to climb the charts, defying typical trends and showcasing their enduring appeal.
The EP BEAUTIFUL CHAOS, which features both songs, climbed one spot to No. 29 on the main album chart, Billboard 200. It has maintained its presence on the chart for 16 consecutive weeks since debuting at No. 4 on July 12.
Just entering their second year since debut, KATSEYE is proving their mainstream appeal not only on Billboard’s main charts but also across streaming, download, and airplay charts. Their balanced growth across various metrics is particularly noteworthy.
On Billboard’s Global 200, which ranks songs based on streaming and sales data from over 200 territories, “Gabriela” holds the No. 30 spot for its 17th consecutive week. On the Global (Excluding U.S.) chart, it sits at No. 27, also for 17 weeks straight. “Gnarly” continues its impressive run, ranking at No. 102 and No. 114 on these charts respectively, marking 24 consecutive weeks of presence.
On Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart, which tracks radio play, “Gabriela” held steady at No. 17 for two consecutive weeks, the group’s highest position to date. Since entering the chart at No. 37 in mid-August, it has shown an upward trend for 11 straight weeks.
“Gabriela” also set a new personal best for the group on the UK’s Official Singles Top 100 chart, reaching No. 38 for the week of October 17-23. On Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs Global chart (October 10-16), it claimed the No. 22 spot, maintaining its presence for 17 weeks. “Gnarly” (No. 108, 24 weeks total) and “Touch” (No. 167, 21 weeks total) also continue to resonate with fans globally.
KATSEYE, conceived under Chairman Bang Si Hyuk’s K-pop methodology, emerged from the global audition project, The Debut: Dream Academy, which involved 120,000 participants worldwide. They made their U.S. debut after completing HYBE America’s rigorous Training & Development (T&D) program.
The group is set to embark on their first solo tour, BEAUTIFUL CHAOS, starting November 15, with 16 shows across 13 North American cities. Next April, they’ll take the stage at the world-renowned Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
