Disney+ has released new stills of D.O. from its upcoming Korean original series The Manipulated, offering a first look at the singer-actor’s striking transformation into his darkest role yet.

Written by Oh Sang Ho and directed by Park Shin Woo and Kim Chang Joo, the psychological thriller follows Tae Jeong (Ji Chang Wook), an ordinary man wrongfully imprisoned for a brutal crime. When he discovers that Ahn Yo Han (D.O.) orchestrated the entire setup, Tae Jeong sets out to seek revenge—igniting a dangerous mind game between two men driven by vengeance and deceit.

D.O. makes his first-ever turn as an antagonist, portraying Ahn Yo Han, a calculating “sculptor of fate” who manipulates people’s lives for sport. Ahn runs a high-end security service catering to the world’s elite, using his power to fabricate evidence and rewrite reality for his wealthy clients. His latest target: Tae Jeong, the one person who threatens to expose his perfect record.

The newly unveiled photos reveal a side of D.O. fans have never seen—cold, composed, and terrifyingly precise. In one image, Ahn Yo Han stands in a stark white room, monitoring his victims through CCTV screens, hinting at the predatory calm of a man who views life as a game. D.O.’s sharp haircut and minimalist wardrobe amplify the character’s unsettling aura, signaling a dramatic shift from his past roles.

“This is my first time playing a villain,” D.O. shared in a production interview. “I wanted to capture a sense of icy detachment—someone who feels nothing while controlling others’ lives.”

Director Park Shin Woo praised D.O.’s performance, describing Ahn Yo Han as “a pure embodiment of evil.” He added, “D.O.’s clear eyes and innocent smile made him the perfect fit for a character who hides cruelty behind calmness.”

The Manipulated premieres November 5 on Disney+ with four episodes, followed by two new episodes each week, for a total of 12.
