Kim Young Kwang, star of the upcoming Netflix series Trigger, revealed that he rarely uses stunt doubles due to his distinctive physique.
The 99th episode of the popular YouTube web series Salon Drip 2, which aired on the TEO channel on Tuesday, featured lead actors Kim Nam Gil and Kim Young Kwang from Trigger as special guests.

Host Jang Do Yeon inquired about their motivation for tackling challenging action scenes, given their reputation for impressive stunt work. Kim Nam Gil shared that his martial arts instructor often tests him by asking if he can handle a scene without a double. It ignites his competitive spirit.
In contrast, Kim Young Kwang disclosed that he rarely uses stunt doubles. Kim Nam Gil explained on his co-star’s behalf that with his height and build, it’s too obvious when a double is used. Kim Young Kwang nonchalantly added that he ended up doing most stunts himself anyway.

Reflecting on Kim Young Kwang’s demeanor, Kim Nam Gil noted that he has seldom seen him angry. Even in potentially frustrating situations on set, he remains calm. He initially misinterpreted his lack of anger as a sign of contentment. Kim Young Kwang clarified that he may feel anger, but he rarely expresses it outwardly.
Kim Nam Gil admitted that he tends to be unresponsive when he’s upset. Kim Young Kwang quipped that if Kim Nam Gil got worked up, they’d never finish filming, eliciting laughter from the group.

During a break, Kim Young Kwang’s towering presence caught everyone’s attention as he stood to grab a drink, impressing both Jang Do Yeon and the production crew.
When asked about his height, Kim Young Kwang revealed that he stands at 190 cm (approximately 6 feet 2 inches). Kim Nam Gil inquired about who’s taller between Kim Young Kwang and Ju Ji Hoon. Kim Young Kwang’s response that he was taller came as a surprise to the group.

Trigger, starring both actors, is set to premiere on Netflix on July 25.
